M. Trant Campbell

Trant was born in Norfolk, Virginia but grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts and is a long-time resident of Wilbraham. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia in 1971. Trant attended law school at the University of Connecticut and received his J.D. in 1974. He was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1975 and to the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, in 1975. He has been in private practice in Springfield, Massachusetts since his admission.
Trant concentrates his practice in the areas of family law/domestic relations, estate planning, business and corporate law, and dispute resolution.
In 2008, Trant received the Robert E. Fein Community Volunteer Award for his services as a mediator for Dispute Resolution Services, Inc. He has been a mediator for the Hampden County Bar Association Arbitration and Mediation Service for many years.
Trant currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Mason-Wright Foundation and was recently appointed to the Wilbraham Council on Aging. He has been Chairman of the Hampden County Probate Court Bench Bar Committee, Chairman of the Hampden County Probate Court Mediation Project, President of Child & Family Services of Springfield, Inc., Chairman of the Wilbraham Council on Aging, and an elected Member of the Wilbraham Planning Board.
